Sonnet Jarvis, DVM, CCRT (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist) practiced small animal medicine in Phoenix for more than 14 years before opening her own physical rehabilitation clinic, Arizona Veterinary Physical Rehabilitation. With post-doctorate training in the diagnosis and management of pain and loss of function, she recognizes the importance of preventing joint breakdown, muscle strains, and injuries through fitness and nutrition.  Dr. Sonnet is certified as a personal trainer for people with the National Academy for Sports Medicine. She combines her knowledge of human fitness and exercise with her canine rehabilitation skills and veterinary medical expertise. Trained to evaluate your dog’s whole body for weakness, imbalance and dysfunction. Dr. Sonnet combines all elements of fitness including flexibility, strength training, balance and coordination, speed and quickness, plyometrics and endurance with proper nutrition to maximize your dog’s physical potential in one comprehensive fitness and conditioning program.

She specializes in core strengthening, custom weight loss programs, and corrective exercises. Dr. Sonnet offers fitness and conditioning seminars in Phoenix and southern Arizona. Dr. Sonnet is a member of the American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians and the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management. Dr. Sonnet has been featured on the internet show The Animal Rescuers for her work with rescue groups, and has been featured on NBC's Morning Show and CBS’s The List for her expertise in canine weight loss and exercise.
