About

The NC State Equine Kinesiology Taping Certificate course will give you an understanding of the principles of kinesiology taping, the different types of tape available and the techniques for applying the tape correctly to help with common injuries, ailments, and conditions.

The NC State Equine Kinesiology Taping course will address functional kinesiology taping methods to reduce or control pain, manage swelling or edema, increase joint range of motion and muscle function, and maintain a level of functionality and comfort for the horse.

Taping applications to maintain functionality and comfort in training and assist with recovery will be explored to facilitate overall soundness in the equine athlete.  Participants will learn the practical application of equine kinesiology taping procedures to address pain, proprioception, and inflammation.  Participants will gain an understanding of the wide range of benefits from equine kinesiology taping.

The NC State Equine Taping Certificate program is delivered in a hybrid format of online lecture and a 1-day hands on lab session.
