Rehabilitation Veterinarian, Penn Vet’s Ryan Veterinary Hospital for Companion Animals

The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine (Penn Vet) is looking for a part-time certified Rehabilitation veterinarian (CCRP/CCRT) to expand our growing Small Animal Rehabilitation Medicine Service. The primary purpose of this position will be to provide clinical care to patients in the hospital (post-surgical and non-surgical) and on an outpatient basis. This will include collaborating with faculty and residents of other services, as well as teaching 4th year veterinary students on clinics, through case rounds and consultations. We currently have electrical stimulation, class III & IV therapeutic lasers, therapeutic ultrasound, shockwave, PEMF technology, GameReady, land treadmill and various agility equipment for therapeutic exercises. We are currently doing renovations for a dedicated space with plans to install an underwater treadmill and have a quiet treatment area for acupuncture. Acupuncture certification is desired but not a requirement.
