Veterinary Technician / Animal Rehabilitation Assistant- CCRP or CCRA
Full or Part Time Position
Pacifica, CA (10 minutes south of San Francisco on the coast)
We are looking for a candidate with great work ethic and initiative. Someone who takes on the additional responsibility of both big and small tasks when they need to be done. Works well with others as a team. Also maintains a positive ‘can do’ outlook, rebounds quickly from frustrations and unpleasantness, and maintains composure and friendly demeanor while dealing with stressful situations.
We will ONLY respond to candidates who have a minimum of two years veterinary technician work experience including patient care, client communication and technical skills, word processing, digital records/practice software;
Requirement: Licensed RVT/LVT or Board Eligible / with credentials for the state of CA;
Desirable to also have certification or training/ or initial coursework completed in canine rehabilitation therapy, experience in rehabilitation therapy (CCRA/CCRP) – OR interest in pursuing certification in animal rehabilitation.
Duties include: performing intake procedures prior to treatment, performing and documenting all rehab therapy treatments prescribed by the Rehabilitation Therapist, client education, assisting with all maintenance of the physical rehabilitation center and equipment including underwater treadmill cleaning. Animal Physical Rehab services that you may perform include: Therapeutic Laser, ShockWave, Underwater Treadmill, E-Stim, Manual Therapy/ Massage, and Custom Therapeutic Exercise/ Fitness and Conditioning – as prescribed by the therapist.
Additionally you may be required to assist with preparing patients for Custom Orthotics or Prosthetics (we are OrthoPets SF- a US Clinic Partner).
